Cold in Minnesota

We are in MN spending our holidays with family, and freezing. I have not taken my knit socks off my feet since we got here. It has been so nice to relax in the ever so calm and quite Midwest, and get a way from the craziness of NYC during the holidays. My sister in law and I walk a few blocks to the store and we did not see a sole on the street. We are staying with Mr. B's parents now, and between the dog and the 2 young aunts, Baby B has forgotten who I am. I am taking full advantage I have to say.  I think we might even squeeze in a date night tonight.  

Natural Insect Repellent

Hi Friend,
What are your plans for this weekend? We are going to Minnesota for a short vacation and to visit with family and friends. As every one knows the national bird of this state is Mosquitos. Baby Baftani has never been exposed to this pesky creature which I am sure serves some purpose in this world ( I just don't know what.) so I have been trying to find the best natural remedy for this possibly horific problem. I think I have found it here. I am making the reciepie bellow, and trying it out on myself for the first night (Mosquitos are very attracted to me) I will let you know how it goes!!

10-15 Drops of Lavender Oil
2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of Vodka

It is recommended to dab some on your skin or clothes, I think I will apply it all over just to be safe.
