Coloring Eggs For Spring

Happy Friday Friend,
This weekend we have awesome plans. Since the Persian/Iranian new year is only in 10 days (more on that later) this weekend we are coloring eggs at my sister's. She is all ready with washable paint for baby B, so she can color her first Noruz eggs, and maybe some finger painting art to send to the grandparents.

Here are some fun links I found this week:

Food: A very pretty video.

Read: Are you as busy as you think?

Genius: For all of you bathroom readers.

DIY: Pretty wine glass tags.

Spring Outfit: My Old Navy outfit post.

Fitness: Detox stretches

Their site and blog is full of inspiration and ways to make your life pretty on a budget.  This issue features Sabrina Soto (the new Target collaborator/spokesperson, you have seen her in the recent adds, "a piece you love to pieces" and she has her own show on HGTV) she has decoration ideas, using items bought from stores we ALL shop from.

Pistachios Dispenser

Hi Friend,
I have had this candy dispenser for a very long time.  My youngest sister Aida made it in middle school. Now she is all grown up and moved on to far bigger creative adventures, like touring the world with Iron and Wine. She is gone for long periods of time, so I don't get to see her very much, and I sure do miss her. since I am not a big candy fan, I filled the dispenser with pistachios and put it on my desk at work. Now I see and use it everyday, and have a nut thinking of my sister!

"It's All in the Aroma"

I know all my posts have been about food lately, but I could not resist mentioning Homaro Cantu a chef and the owner of Moto restaurant in Chicago. I found out about him and his brilliant utensils flipping through my Cooking Light Magazine. His restaurant looks like a science lab. and how about that menu that is attached to a piece of toast! Just brilliant. These utensils are designed to intensify the aroma of the the food. Isn't that genius?
And bellow is a Cuban sandwich, shaped like a Cuban cigar complete with edible ash.
