Date with Baby B at the Park

Hi There,
Baby B and I had a date last Saturday, I call it a date when it is something out of the ordinary, look at her at the Cafe with her milk and cookie, "like, no big deal."

We made our way to the Central Park Zoo, which I recommend to all the tourists with little kids, it is the perfect size to spend a couple of hours in and not get overwhelmed or tired. Kids under 3 are free, and if you buy your tickets online a head of time, you can save money. $16 for Zoo and 4D theater. We  tried to go to the 4D Ice Age show, but the roaring in your face dinosaur was too much for Baby B and we had to leave 10 minutes into it.

We walked across the park to the west side and listened to a few musicians in the park, laid on the grass, chased huge bubbles, and by the time we got back on the bus to go home, she was fast asleep. over all a great day.

Planting with Baby B

Hi There,
Baby B and I planted Daffodils and Tulips for the spring over the weekend. It was a mess to clean up after.
She had such a good time with the dirt and layering the bulbs, we put the tall plants on the bottom and the shorter ones halfway up in the pot, look at her focus. It was all well until I said it is time to go inside, and she started throwing the dirt every where for her last hora before being trapped inside the apartment, where there is no dirt to play with. Oh Baby B how I adore you.
Baby quote for today:
"-Mama what are you doing?
-I am putting on makeup, baby.
-Oh, I have my milk cup." :)

Chocolate Covered Baby

Baby B tried some chocolate frozen yogurt from Pinkberry the other day. She was covered with it, since holding a spoon correctly is still difficult for her. Chocolate was on her pants, jacket, shoes and even a bit in her hair. Mr. B and I could not stop laughing at the mess she was making, sitting in the middle of Broadway on a bench, so that encouraged her even more. On our adventures outside, but close to home, I don't take a diaper bag, so you can imagine how embracing the walk back home was. Everyone was staring, some laughed, and some looked like they were judging.  Baby B enjoyed her dessert and we enjoyed the site, so it was worth the messy/sticky clean up afterwards.
We adore you baby.

Do you worry about people judging your parenting skills? I would love to hear about it.

Baby's Nook

Hi Friend,
When ever we go over to my sister's Apt. Baby B goes straight into the spot you see in the picture.  it is a tiny little place between the couch and the window. She loves this little nook and she invites guest over, more like she demands her guests to "sit down". Here she is with both my sisters.

Fun Times At The Library

HI Friend,
How was your weekend? We had a very nice one. On Saturday Baby B and I joined cousin Mia (not her name, just sounds like it and how Baby B says it) and her mom at the Brooklyn Library. They had a fun time taking out every book they could reach and bringing them to us. Later we joined a whole lot of other kids and parents at the small  theater inside the library for Jazz 4 Kids, it was a free show, and so much fun. Baby B danced and loved the music.
I hope you had a great weekend also.

Happy Friday Friend,
What good plans do you have for the weekend? Baby B has been missing her cousin and she is asking for her all the time, so we might head on over to Brooklyn Central Library this weekend for some fun, Jazz and cousin time.

Weekend

HI Friend,
Hope you had an amazing weekend, every one in the Baftani household has a cold, so we did not do much. We made it to the park for some running around with Baby B's cousin, but other than that, just stayed home and relaxed and had lots of warm drinks with lime and honey to help sooth our throats. Oh and we watched Elmo videos a bi gillion times.

Ginger Bread House

HI Friend,
Baby B made her first gingr bread house, at my sisters place. If you can't really figure out what it is you are looking at in the picture, that is beause my sister and her hausband let Baby B do what ever she wanted with the house. She tasted some of the house, then went to town with all the candy that was available for her, we helped a little bit. She had such a good time. Thank you Khaleh and Daee.

Playing Outside In Winter

Hi Friend,
On the weekends Mr. B and I take Baby B to the park or the playground, She loves the swing, and is scared of the slide (unless one of us slide down with her, then it is super fun) It is great to get out to go play early in the morning as a family and then walk over to a bakery for breakfast and coffee. Baby B takes bites off of our egg and cheese croissants and walks away to say hi to everyone.  All of these little pleasures in our weekend mornings have made me think of what are we going to do in WINTER.  I have been eyeing a snowsuit for Baby B, but I am hesitant because Mr. B is convinced she will hate it (he hated them as a child) What is a Mom to do? do you have little ones? what do you do in the winter?
Here you can read about babies sleeping outside in their stroller in Denmark, while Mommy is sipping her coffee inside a cafe. That kind of safety and trust in my fellow citizens are so foreign to me.

Have a happy weekend!

Baby Neck Warmer

Hi Friend,
Please allow me to introduce you to Baby Baftani, isn't she a doll? I am a very proud Mama. She is 14 months old, a super fast walker, and when she looks at you, it seems like she is reading your mind. Oh and she likes to eat paper (I don't  know what to do about that, any suggestions?)
Here she is modeling my new Neck Warmers for babies. I have been knitting them for this winter. They are soft and easy to use for babies who seem to want to take everything off. and you don't have to worry about constantly adjusting it. they can also work as head bands if you pull them up and over the ears.  I will be putting them on Etsy soon so please check back for updates!

What do you think? Do you like it?

Baby Leggings

These adorable baby leggings are from Oeuf they are $48. A bit too much for a growing baby in my oppinion. So I will be making one of these for Baby Baftani.

Tutu Cute!

How cute is this little tutu hulter dress from The Frog and the Princess you can even take the ribbon out and use as a tutu when your baby is bigger.
